This is one of those questions that pet owners ask me most often. This is most often associated with a disease condition and the quality of life that is taken away from the animals with that condition. In this regard, in such moments, we must always first solve a small dilemma and ask ourselves whether we mean suffering or pain. Usually the answer is, “Well, it’s one and the same.” Well, of course I have to answer that it’s not one and the same.

Animals certainly feel pain quite similarly to humans, with a very different pain threshold, which depends on the type of animal, breed, age, but the pain is felt by all animals. But animals suffer in a very different way than we humans. The simplest way to imagine the latter is to say that they suffer similarly to very young children. children who do not yet have a defined self (this of course does not mean that animals do not perceive themselves as a subject). For the animal, suffering is mainly related to facing unsafe loneliness in an incomprehensible world. Again, there are great differences between species, breed age; however, it is approximate that e.g. amputation of the leg affects the owner much more than a dog or cat.

The animal actually begins to suffer when their world begins to crumble. However, it starts to fall apart due to the problems that the owners have with their disease and not themselves. Namely, animals do not live in the present in relation to the past and / or the future, but live in the present in relation to the moment. In a way, animals embody the Buddhist manner of living in a given moment. So, of course, they do not bother with something that was or. with something that is supposed to be, but simply living life. It is clear that they suffer in a completely different way than humans. In humans, suffering is most often associated with a loss of meaning in relation to a problem; if someone has to physically bear some burden, they will have a problem with it. If he does not save him in the foreseeable future, he will of course also suffer. However, here we come to the point that someone will be able to wear e.g. a heavy backpack only 10 minutes and will suffer desperately, yet another even an hour, and will not feel suffering. Suffering can be the result of pain, but it is not necessary, it is much more common as a result of loss of meaning in life.

If it is essential and crucial for me as a dog owner to be oh and beautiful and wonderful at all and I can’t imagine having e.g. three legs, then I will, clearly, suffer. How and Why I Will Suffer is another song, but the fact is that I will suffer. The dog will not suffer, but I will suffer! For I won’t be able to watch a three-legged dog that no longer goes into my context of the sense of oh and a perfect dog at all. Namely, my dog will not have any problems with this, also my dog would not have any problems and of course he would not suffer in the least if I, for example. cut off his leg. For him, I will be exactly the same as before. An altered animal condition that is not related to pain is a problem for us and not for the animals. As this becomes a problem for us and we suffer, so can suffering (but not necessarily) suffering for our animal.

Let me give an example from practice: we diagnose a dog with diabetes. Daily therapy with insulin injections is required. This is an effort, a problem and also a suffering for the owner, because he lived with his mother for 15 years, who had to be given insulin daily, and he saw how exhausting it was, how limited she was in her life and how suffered from it. When I try to explain to him that the dog is not his mother and that he will not suffer in the least with the daily application of insulin, my attempt is accepted with disapproval. The owner simply does not want to go through such hardship again. He bought the dog to be nice to him, not to relive the drama about his mother. So he will get rid of his dog as soon as possible by apologizing to himself that this is not the case because the dog is suffering too much. Of course, he is not capable of a radical change in thinking. That he would understand that he is suffering and not the dog, that the dog needs to be injected because of his past and, most importantly in this whole story and a topic for some other thinking… that he refuses to realize that the dog has this disease here before him also to deal with his burden regarding the mother to whom he had to inject insulin for 15 years.

So we need to know that animals do not suffer more or less than we do, but in a completely different way.

For a dog it is e.g. much greater suffering if we leave him alone all day with a bowl full of briquettes than having three legs and jumping and walking on the lawn with us and our family!

Report animal torture … !!!!!!

Recently, quite a few cases have been exposed in the media, in which there was obvious torture of animals.

Starving Rex in the sun, a few days without food and water… a dog that was “eaten” to death by a bench i… the slaughter of a few weeks old puppies… these are just some of the horrible stories that happened on the Slovenian coast and except in the first case, ended tragically.

Rex 😰

Unfortunately, there are many such and similar cases around us. Everyday. Everywhere. Stories and photographs do not leave anyone indifferent, but the fact is that after the first “shock”, when seen by many, negative emotions soon calm down… until next time.

What about in between? Despite mass awareness, unfortunately, many people still feel that reporting torture and warning about animal cruelty does not affect them. They may not want to offend their neighbors. They may be hoping that the situation will improve on its own and that their reaction is not necessary. Maybe… and step forward.

Meanwhile, many animals suffer greatly. On the sun. No food. No water. Beaten up. Tortured.

Hot summer days are ahead of us, when we will at least spend some time without worries on a vacation somewhere in nature, at sea, in the mountains. If we get hot, we will cool off in the sea or hide in a cool place. If we are thirsty, we will walk to the fridge and freshen up.

How many dogs will meanwhile spend hellish days, on a leash, without help, with an empty bowl of water, neglected, shitty? Far away from civilization, somewhere by an abandoned field where no one hears his desperate voice?

Please, if you know or notice an animal that lives in inappropriate conditions – ACT!

Everyone can contribute at least a little to the fact that in some case, at least some dog or other animal soul will be saved from torture. Raise awareness, share information, talk to friends!

According to the law, every citizen is obliged to report the torture of animals without delay. The veterinary inspection and the police are responsible for the action.

So what to do if you notice an animal in inappropriate
living conditions or for an otherwise neglected animal?

If you know of cases where animals live in unsuitable living conditions, do not have enough food or water, are in the sun in summer and do not have shade, their owners do not take care of them if they are sick, locked up or chained in secluded areas or abandoned fields. impossible conditions, try (if possible) to immediately personally alert the owners to errors and follow the response.

Even if you are not sure that a certain behavior is so serious to report, of course, first warn the perpetrator of inappropriate behavior and monitor the reaction. If it is not there and the cruel treatment of the animal continues, contact the veterinary inspection, or. the competent office of the Veterinary Administration in your region (list of offices and contacts below).

The report will include the exact location, a chronological description of the events, a detailed description of the torture and, if possible, the details of the animal’s owner. In no case will the inspector’s data be passed on to third parties, so the fear that the infringer will find out about your application is completely unnecessary!

The inspectorate is obliged to check every report it receives. Depending on what is found, they decide on an appropriate measure, which can be a warning or a punishment. As an applicant, of course, you have the opportunity to obtain information on the outcome of the application, but you must emphasize this desire when applying. It should be added that often the competent services do their job better if their work is supervised by a conscientious applicant. Follow the application and its outcome further!

In case the animal is in danger of death or if you notice inappropriate handling of the animal in a certain place (violence, beating, stabbing, hitting, strangulation of animals, sexual abuse, shooting animals…), immediately call the police who will come to the scene. This applies to cases where torture takes place in a public place or a reaction is necessary (it would be too late before the inspection arrives).

It often happens that the police officers want to redirect the applicant to some other service, with the excuse that they are not competent. If you are redirected to the Society Against Animal Torture, persevere and teach it that societies have no authority to enforce the law.

Never turn away! You have to report torture! Applying is the least you can do for a living being who can’t say their pain out loud !!!

Verunreinigungen in Milch

Die Coalition for Cancer Prevention (CPC) erklärt:

Who is a vegan?

Vegans believe that all living beings have the right to life and liberty, so they strongly oppose ending the life of a living being just to eat their flesh, drink milk, or wear skin, even though they have other options.

Vegan food Pyramid

Adopting a vegan lifestyle and outlook on life, its use in everyday life, avoiding all animal foods such as meat products, fish, shellfish and insects, dairy products, eggs and honey, as well as materials of animal origin, products tested on animals and places to use animals for recreation. Avoidance is called vegan.

Veganism or veganism is a type of vegetarian diet that excludes meat, eggs, dairy products and all other ingredients of animal origin. Many vegans do not consume foods that are processed with animal products such as refined white sugar and some wines.

Vegans not only reject animal foods, but also avoid using all personal and household products that have been tested on animals. They avoid buying and using all non-food products of animal origin, such as leather, fur and wool.

The word vegan came out of the word vegetarian in the 1940s. Vegans have adopted an approach to favor foods and plant products of plant origin by excluding animal meat, meat products and other non-food products of animal origin from their consumption.

Questions such as whether certain foods, especially honey, belong to a vegan diet and whether second-hand animal products such as leather jackets from grocery stores can be controversial for many vegans. However, most of those who stick to a vegan diet do not consume honey.

Vegan individuals also oppose the psychological and physical stress that animals endure due to modern agricultural practices.

In this regard, the terms vegetarianism and veganism are often confused in society, or both are considered the same thing. This is a big mistake. A vegan individual never consumes or uses animal products.

Why shouldn’t we eat pork?

Pork (or its cells) is very similar to human. Not only in composition, but also in taste (if we can believe the cannibals). Therefore, both humans and pigs have similar diseases, we are affected by the same drugs and we host the same parasites.

  1. Pork contains histamine, which causes problems for allergy sufferers. In type I allergic reactions (hay fever, hives) histamine is secreted, which causes itching, redness and swelling on the mucous membranes. If the gut is healthy, the body breaks down histamine from food in the gut and it does not enter the bloodstream at all. In a sick gut, histamine is also absorbed from food and worsens the symptoms of type I allergies. If we eat a lot of histamine during a hay fever, additional allergies quickly develop.
  2. Pork is high in cholesterol. The human body needs it for various tasks (for example, to build cell membranes), but excess cholesterol accumulates in the walls of blood vessels, which is the cause of atherosclerosis.
  3. Pork is high in fat and is the only animal meat that also has fat in its cells. It quickly begins to rot, both in the gut and outside the refrigerator. Toxins that are excreted during putrefaction poison us and burden the intestines, lymph, blood and organs for detoxification and excretion. Research has found a direct link between pork consumption and cirrhosis of the liver (source:
  4. Pork very often contains growth hormones, vaccines, antibiotics and sedatives. Animals that live their short lives in appalling conditions of mass breeding are “fed” a lot with growth hormones, vaccines and preventive doses of antibiotics and sedatives. All this remains in the pork we eat. Antibiotics, which we consume together with pork, destroy our intestinal flora, and growth hormones promote inflammation, swelling of tissues and growth processes in our body – including cancer cells.
  5. Pork is full of mucous substances that accumulate in human tendons, ligaments and cartilage of the musculoskeletal system. Due to the abundance of mucous substances, the tissue swells, earns, becomes soft and less resistant. The result is overstretching of tendons and ligaments, which can no longer withstand the load, so the cartilage degenerates. Poor endurance ligaments, rheumatism, arthritis, osteoarthritis and intervertebral disc defects are often associated with pork in their development.
  6. Contains toxins, parasites and disease germs. Scientists link this to the fact that pigs are not at all picky about their diet. They eat carrion, insects, worms, secretions (including their own), waste and members of their own species. Trichinellaspiralis is just one of the parasites that feels good in both pigs and humans. Its larvae are ingested with raw but undercooked but cooked pork. Inspections do not detect parasite-infected meat, salting and smoking do not destroy it. People who like to eat pork products are more likely to get the flu. Influenza is a disease that can affect both humans and pigs. Disease germs are stored in the lungs of pigs in summer, their pieces are eaten with sausages and in autumn we get sick.
  7. Pork contains a lot of sulfur compounds, which have a very bad effect on the composition of connective tissue. The water received by the connective tissue is retained in small molecular compounds (mucopolysaccharides), which mostly contain sulfur. The more mucopolysaccharides there are in the connective tissue, the more water the connective tissue retains and the more it swells. When eating pork, a significant proportion of sulfur compounds accumulate in the connective tissue, which fills like a sponge with water and swells, and collagen and elastic fibers are heavily loaded and age faster. Because different parts of the pig contain different sulfur compounds, we can also deduce which part of the pig they like to eat (fat on the belly, fat on the back, chops on the back of the neck, ham…) based on where the body’s fat is stored. )

After all this, it is clear why we do not recommend eating pork: pork is toxic to humans. We can afford it no more than once or twice a year, and only if the pork is organically or humanely produced.

10 reasons to become vegan

The word “vegan” was first used in 1944 by Donald Watson of the Vegan Society of Great Britain, who wrote:

“Veganism is a way of life that tends to exclude (as far as possible and feasible) all forms of cruelty and exploitation of animals for food, clothing and other purposes.”

Becoming vegan and supporting veganism is not I don’t know how difficult a decision. It is easier to decide to be vegan and become vegan if someone supports and guides you a little at the beginning.

Interestingly, this is a series of decisions. We start accepting animals of all kinds as our friends. And not just cats, puppies, fish in the aquarium and parrots. We are starting to accept all wild species, including those in stables and cages. They all become our friends because they feel we won’t eat them, that we aren’t dangerous to them. From this ethical point of view, do not kill, but appreciate and respect animals. From this perspective, it is easy to become vegan. Veganism is the result of our conscious decision to look at animals completely differently. It is true, however, that more and more people are opting for such ethical criteria.

  1. If I am vegan, I respect the moral and ethical principles and rights enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia
  2. If I am vegan, animals do not have to suffer in barns, carriages, be used for milk and eggs and slaughtered for meat.
  3. If I am vegan, I make a significant contribution to reducing world hunger.
  4. If I am vegan, I do not share responsibility for the destruction of tropical forests and fertile fields with chemicals and animal excreta for animal feed.
  5. If I’m vegan, I’m not co-responsible for the terribly rapid pollution and water consumption by mass animal husbandry.
  6. If I am vegan, I have a much smaller share in the extinction of animal and plant species nowadays, because again, livestock farming is the main cause.
  7. If I’m vegan, I have a much smaller share of greenhouse gas emissions that harm the climate. Again, livestock is one of the main causes.
  8. If I’m vegan, I contribute to lower energy consumption, which is supposed to save me money. Agriculture with an emphasis on livestock farming is again a big consumer.
  9. If I am vegan, I already automatically follow the recommendation or commandment DO NOT KILL.
  10. If I’m vegan, I’m less of a healthcare expense, and at the same time a supporter of people trying to grow bloodless, vegan food.

Sugar and flour dessert in two minutes

Can you imagine making the perfect dessert of rich flavor in just two minutes? What if we tell you that you can tackle this recipe even if you are on a diet that prohibits sugar and white flour?

During the spring diets and preparations for the swimsuit season, we all collect food a little more carefully to prepare meals. We adhere to the strict principles of eating techniques written down by our coaches, which we read in magazines or online and the like. But that doesn’t mean we ever want “something sweet.” Instead of resorting to the usual chocolates, pastries, wraps and poticas, you should prepare a homemade dessert that does not contain sugar and flour, which are the eternal enemies of the diet. The preparation is also suitable for those who should not eat gluten.

For a cake for one person, we need five tablespoons of coconut flour, one egg, two teaspoons of cinnamon, half a teaspoon of baking powder, one topped spoon of cream cheese, two tablespoons of milk and a teaspoon of olive oil. Mix all the ingredients to form a thick and uniform mass. Pour the mixture into a tea cup and put it in the microwave for two minutes, and it is even better to avoid the microwave and use a regular oven, but in this case you must be careful not to bake too much, as it bakes a little longer . From the cup, turn the cake over on a plate and, if necessary, pour a little milk mixed with a teaspoon of raw cocoa or cottage cheese and raspberries.

In thousand years love

That night we went
You lifted me from the bottom to the sky
It gave the power it gives
Someone who takes you into account loves you

Is it a little or all
Are we demanding too much or not?

I will stand here even in a thousand years
The sun will be my heart
One in a thousand stars will be right for me
I will bear her name

I want to sing and sound
I want to stay, take my time
That power of the one
Master and righteous man
A book, a son and a tree
I gave it to him, and now he wants more body and soul

Even in a thousand years, I will stand here
The sun will be my heart
One in a thousand stars will be right for me
I will bear her name

And it will be again tomorrow
Which it was yesterday
And it will be again tomorrow
Which it was yesterday

I will stand here even in a thousand years
The sun will be my heart
One in a thousand stars will be right for me
I will bear her name

I will stand here even in a thousand years
The sun will be my heart
One in a thousand stars will be right for me
I will bear her name

Motherfucker (song)

We have been counting the years since Dayton
People are afraid of people and everyone votes for their own
The people of Brda become citizens
Until yesterday, the lights were turned off with axes, and now they are in suits
Mirnese, get them Mirnese, fuck their mother
If you start selling yourself, I’ll fuck your mother too
You know, ideology doesn’t matter, biology matters
The genetics of Bali, Ustasha and Chetniks are important
Each sheep to its herd, cows to calves
Looking at the colorful door, fuck each other’s mother
I know who started the war, I know what famine is
I know when the Seselj family came to my city
We talk about what it is like now, we move poorly
We are full of holes like our road
We often pull the hand, you see every pearl
We would go ahead but we love that reverse
It has become a habit for us not to have a single factory
We keep silent about embezzlements, we do not anger the bosses
We are used to it, in peace and quiet
Young people are fleeing the country, refugees will not return
They don’t have to, let them make money, let them send us money
We will live in the dark and fuck each other’s mother

The whole state pays the racket
A rattle has been heard in the houses of weapons since the war
We have mine like strawberries, full of fields
But those who made the seedlings will not be brothers
We hurt the kite, we have more resources
Especially metal, shit, methane
It is our air and food, with it our food leaders
I don’t know about you, I’m full, it doesn’t fit in me anymore
Every dick in the state smokes, closes his ears
I keep my mouth shut in front of strangers
Hello, hello, hi? How is it right?
I don’t know what else to say, shit not to find myself
The dog bit the bug, they play the war trumpet
They have different views on their teeth
A detachment will send them to correct their gaze
To see their burning house through binoculars

But there is no infidelity of war that can destroy the foundations
That root of the house where our souls are
That wedding ring and the chain that the Bosnian threw into the foundation
When he builds a house, he puts a part of himself in the foundation
Demolition to the foundation does not go
The foundation, he will remain eternal like Sava
