Hot veggie burger

An excellent hamburger can also be prepared in a vegetarian version.

INGREDIENTS (4 servings)

200 g of peas

400 g of cooked chickpeas (can be canned)

200 g of pickled corn




1 onion

3 cloves of garlic

1 egg

80 g plain flour

olive oil for frying

4 whole grain bombettes

2 tomatoes

2 red onions

8 lettuce leaves


200 g of sour cream

70 g of sweet chili sauce

3 tablespoons of mustard




Mix peas, chickpeas and corn, add salt, pepper, garlic, cumin, onion and mix well. Put the mixture in a bowl, add the egg and flour. Mix well and form four patties from the mixture, fry in hot olive oil for about 8 minutes on both sides.

Place the lower parts of the bombet halves in the pan and fry. Cut the washed tomato into slices, the peeled onion into thin slices and tear the lettuce into small leaves. Add sweet chili sauce to half of the sour cream, add mustard to the rest and season with salt and pepper.

Spread the dressing on the bottom of each bun, add the salad, tomato slices, vegetable pancake, onion slices and finally the other half of the bombette. Serve with remaining toppings.
