Tuna salad-vegan

Like real tuna

Ingridients

For 1 person:

80 g of cooked chickpeas

2 tablespoons sesame seeds

1 tablespoon garlic powder or 1 chopped clove of garlic

2 tablespoons olive oil

5 large chicory or endive leaves

1 large tomato

juice of half a lemon

2 tablespoons yeast flakes *

Preparation

Dry the sesame seeds in a pan until they turn light brown. Shake the chickpeas, sesame seeds, garlic, oil, 2 tablespoons lemon juice and yeast in a blender and mix to form a canned tuna-like structure.

Chicory / endive is cleaned, shredded and washed, tomatoes are washed and cut into slices. Put both in a bowl, add “tuna” to the top with a spoon, salt and pour over the remaining lemon juice.

  • It is a special yeast in the form of flakes, which is not bitter, tastes like cheese and is available in health food stores and major supermarkets.
