Ingridients

For 6 people:

1 packet of large soybean pieces (Soy meat – 250 g – Natura)

4-6 large onions

4-6 pieces of mixed vegetables as desired (red peppers, carrots, zucchini)

4-6 tablespoons oil

2 tablespoons cornstarch (you can also use any flour to thicken)

4-6 tablespoons sweet paprika powder

2 teaspoons marjoram

2 teaspoons oregano

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon saffron

1 teaspoon celery

2 teaspoons salt

¼ teaspoons pepper

6 bay leaves

Preparation

Soybean pieces are soaked in boiling water for 10 minutes, then drained. Put the chopped onion in a large bowl and fry for 10 minutes. Add the red pepper powder and fry for another 2 mins. Add soy pieces, sliced ​​vegetables, soy sauce and spices and fry for another 2 minutes. Add enough water to barely cover the contents of the pan and cook for 20 minutes. In a bowl, mix the starch and cold water and add the mixture to the contents of the bowl, cook for another 10 minutes. Serve the goulash together with the side dish (slice of bread, polenta or mashed potatoes). It is even better if it stands for a while (the flavors combine further) or the next day when we reheat it. It can also be frozen and stored for days when there is no time to cook.
