Magic Johny

When Johnny left home
He was nine years old
He smoked the first Drina at six
And he flew away with – the devil would know
Oh yes, it was Mother’s Day.

And then he took the guitar
Everyone felt the magical power
Raise your happy hands to heaven
And they sang with him day and night.

Long live the grass, long live the grass
Long live the grass, long live the grass
Long live the grass, long live the grass
Long live the green grass
Because she sleeps well in it.

We spent our lives in the grass
They put field flowers in their hair
She was sixty-eight
Beautiful Mother’s Day.

Beautiful Mother’s Day
Beautiful Mother’s Day
Beautiful Mother’s Day
Beautiful Mother’s Day.

And then Johnny took the guitar
Everyone felt the magical power
Raise your happy hands to heaven
And they sang with him day and night.

Long live the grass, long live the grass
Long live the grass, long live the grass
